Absolute garbage !!!!! Every connection leaked !!! Sent video to Sterling Kit and got nothing !!! Everything this Co. has sent me 4k cdn is absolute non functioning garbage !!! No support, just insults !!!
A beautiful little steam engine and boiler, aluminum nicely anodized, good looking machinery work. BUT - even with tightening all the glands, etc., steam pressure will not go above 1 bar (14.7 psi), which is not enough to operate the engine. Steam mostly leaks from the throttle valve - copiously! It fits loosely in any position, allowing steam to readily escape. Steam also escapes freely through the exhaust stack fitting, with no way to tighten it. Warm up time for the steam tank is about 8-10 minutes. Stirling supplies a small container (50 ml), but asks for 80 ml into the boiler. And the supplied funnel is way too large to fit either fuel or water tank. I had to resort to filling it from a 1-ml syringe, the largest tip I could find that would fit into the filling openings. All the beauty in the world is NOT beautiful, if the object fails to work. And not a word anywhere about contacting customer service.
This steam engine is hefty well made and looks tough. I was very impressed with how well it runs and how strong it is. If you want an impressive steam engine to play with or just to look at, this is a good one.

This is a model of the earlier steam engine. Used to pump water from mines. Stirling Kit have reproduced the original engine in this beautiful model. It also comes with its own steam boiler. Great value and well made.
